Slippers 'n sunglasses

I've got this new assignment in art class where I have to design a pair of flipflops, together with a matching pair of sunglasses.
These images here inspire me. It is important to put your individuality in it. But what is individuality, and more of all, what is MY individuality?
After a while I found out that the quote 'less is more' applies me. I prefer simplicity. Simplicity does not immediately mean it's boring. Simplicity can also come into existance while repeating a certain pattern over and over again. To my opinion, simplicity equals peace and harmony. When something is kept modest, every extra detail catches your eye. So details have to be chosen carefully and stay subtle. When everything fits and matches, details can give just an extra flow to it to fullfill the end product. Subtle details have something feminine. I prefer round shapes, organic shapes and soft edges. Natural beauty is created by subtlety as well.
Materials belonging to this preferance are for example fickle pieces of wood, little shelves, hair and soft fabrics. This leads met to natural colours such as grey, brown-greyish, brown, cream coloured, lapis lazuli and several shades of green.

Can someone inspire me for ideas for the design of these pair of slippers and the pair of sunglasses?
